Dod-Eat-Dog

This week I did my regular routine of elliptical/situps, pushups, pullups but I also mixed in a hike, a longer outside run and on Saturday I participated in an Iditarod race in Flagstaff. Here's what a typical Iditarod race would look like:

Mine was kind of like that except I was where one of those dogs is and there were some overweight boy scouts in the sled. Also it wasn't a sled because it had wheels and there wasn't very much snow so we were mostly pulling it over frozen mud. The race was 3 miles and there were stations where we stopped to do pullups, log splitting, rope climbing, and other feats of strength.

In other news this week, I found out that I have slightly high cholesterol and borderline high blood pressure. It kind of freaked me out but definitely gives me even more motivation to workout and eat healthy. I guess I can't have chocolate chip cookies and milk every night anymore.

Here's my report:

Monday: 45 min - Hike
Tuesday: 30 min - Elliptical (20 min) pushups, situps, pullups (10 min)
Wednesday: 30 min - outside run
Thursday: 30 min - Elliptical (20 min) pushups, situps, pullups (10 min)
Saturday: 1 hour 15 min - Iditarod race, pullups, rope climbing
