Time for all of us to get going again!

I took about a month off because of camping trips, road trips, family reunions and other excuses.  But I also gain a few pounds.  So I am back!  I hope the rest of you will start up again too.  This last week I started but had a hard time because I am reacting to a cholesteral lowering medicine which is causing muscle and joint pain.  I have stopped that and am feeling lots better.  Anyway-- my week:
M--30 min.
Tue--50 min.
Wed--50 min.
Thurs--30 min.
Friday--50 min.
Total:  3 1/2 hours

Hi!


I am glad I did the 5K in Layton this week, because I can count it for the competition.  On the negative side of that coin, my legs are still sore from the race.  I also did my first hour of P90X since I broke my hand many moons ago.

Wednesday: 30 minutes running (don't even try to go online and see that I actually ran the 5K in 27:55)
Saturday: 60 minutes P90X

Total: 1.5 hours

Ended June going Strong

June ended strong and completed the Spartan Beast race.


I really think that we should all participate in this race next year. It was challenging and yet fun at the same time. It would also provide some sort of goal to aim for – definitely motivates.

To sum it up it was 12.6 miles plus approx. 30 obstacles along the way. Yes it sounds a bit crazy – but I think anyone can do it – especially if I was able to do it! The only other organized race I ran besides this one was a 5K. 

So let’s do it – we have a year to prepare!

Monday: Chest and Back + Ab Ripper = 1 hr 15 mins
Tues: Run + burpess + lunges = 1 hr
Wed: Rest
Thurs: Run + burpess + lunges = 1 hr
Fri: Rest
Sat: Spartan Race = 3 hr 15 mins

Total: 6 hr 30 mins

Mon-schlepped my kids + luggage through the airport and rode on a plane by myselft with them.  let's see, that counts for about three hours...

I didn't do too well this weekend with 2 days of headaches and super busy the others. I exercised an hour on Tuesday and Thursday for a total of 2 hours

I have one more week before my race - just trying to keep a steady workout schedule... nothing too crazy.

Mon. - Chest and Back + Ab Ripper X = 1 hr. 15 min.
Tues. - Run + workout = 1 hr.
Wed. - Rest
Thurs. - Weighted walk = 1 hr.
Fri. - Shoulders and Arms + Ab Ripper = 1 hr. 15 min.
Sat. - Trail run = 1 hr. 15 min.

Total = 5 hr. 45 mins.

This week was tough. What with Fathers day and all, I barely had time for anything. I also completed the western mini-series, Lonesome Dove and I HIGHLY recommend it. Here's my big report: Mon - 30 Tues - 30 Nate
